Late Acceptance Student Information

If you have been offered a seat in your »»ÆÞ̽»¨ program less than six weeks before it starts, you are considered a “Late Acceptance” student.

Don’t worry! Here are the steps to help you get ready for the start of the term as fast as possible.

Accepting Your Offer to »»ÆÞ̽»¨

There are two mandatory steps required to secure your seat at »»ÆÞ̽»¨:

Step 1Activate Your »»ÆÞ̽»¨ Account

Your »»ÆÞ̽»¨ Account access becomes available at 8:00 a.m. (Atlantic Time) the day after your Offer Letter is issued.

Do this first — it unlocks everything else! You should plan about 15 minutes to do this process from start to finish.

Step 2Accept Offer & Pay Confirmation Deposit

  1. Log in to your »»ÆÞ̽»¨ Application Portal:
  2. Find your confirmation deposit deadline in the Academic section. It is important to note that your seat will be cancelled if payment is not received by the deadline.
  3. Click “Pay Deposit” → review terms → Accept and Pay
  4. You’ll be redirected to the Student Self-Service webpage where you can log in and complete payment.
    (Please note: »»ÆÞ̽»¨ cannot accept Visa Debit payments. For additional details on accepted payment methods, see Payment Options.)

Once processed, your application status will update automatically.

Please note: The $250 confirmation deposit for Canadian & Permanent Resident Applicants and the $1500 confirmation deposit #1 for International Applicants are non-refundable (even if your study permit is not approved).

»»ÆÞ̽»¨ Tuition & Fees - »»ÆÞ̽»¨ recognizes that as a late accepted student, you may not have your finances already arranged and we want to provide support to ensure this transition is as seamless as possible. For more information on your payment options, including payment plans, visit the Payment Options page.

If you need assistance, please contact our Records Specialists (studentrecords@nbcc.ca) with the following information:

  • Email Subject Line: “LATE ACCEPT: your Student ID#, First & Last Name, Program Name”
  • Body of the email: “I was late accepted to my program (Insert program name), on (insert date), and would like to know what options are available for payment arrangements.” Include your full name and Student ID# in your signature line.

Program Information, Class Schedule and Other items to get ready for College

For information on your program, you can visit your program page. Your class schedule will appear in Student Self Service by August 24, 2026. You must complete Step 1 and register (you can begin registration for Fall 2026 on August 10, 2026) to access any information in Student Self Service and it may take up to 48 hours for your class schedule to become populated. 

Online Registration is mandatory for all programs and starts Monday, August 10th, 2026. Registration enables you to provide critical information for your student account setup. Once you have activated your »»ÆÞ̽»¨ Account, it can take up to 24 hours for your personal registration link to appear in the “To Do” section of Student Self Service. You will also be sent an email prompting you to register online.

If you are accepted between September 8th and 11th, but cannot attend the day following your acceptance, it is important you let your Academic School know (see below email addresses). Each program requires academic resources such as textbooks/eBooks, technology, equipment, or tools.  Your Academic School can provide you with more information.  Be sure to include your Student ID#, First & Last Name, Program Name in all your email correspondence.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

If you have previously completed post-secondary courses or gained experience related to your program of study, you may be eligible for credit through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).  Visit the RPL Website for more information and apply as soon as possible.  The deadline for RPL applicants for the current term courses is September 14, 2026.
