»»ÆÞ̽»¨ introduces academic Quality Assurance Framework

New Brunswick’s largest provider of skills training is going beyond in its commitment to academic quality standards. »»ÆÞ̽»¨ recently introduced a new academic Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) that will support the College in delivering education that works.

“A strong focus on providing quality-assured, innovative educational delivery that responds to both current and future labour market needs is essential to the overall success of »»ÆÞ̽»¨ and its learners,” said Ann Drennan, Vice President Academic, Innovation, and Student Affairs. “The QAF defines a formal process for assessing our programs and acting where needed to ensure program excellence, identify opportunities for improvement, and maintain »»ÆÞ̽»¨’s quality reputation.”

The Academic Quality Assurance Framework has robust program standards in place to govern »»ÆÞ̽»¨ programs. The framework consists of five academic quality standards that will enable the College to:

  • Use evidence-based data to make program changes;

  • Develop and offer sustainable and in-demand programs;

  • Focus on learner and stakeholder needs now and into the future;

  • Measure and evaluate the goals and objectives of »»ÆÞ̽»¨ programs; and

  • Identify opportunities and areas for improvement and positive change.

Under »»ÆÞ̽»¨’s QAF, programs will be evaluated every five years and undergo an annual review based on program performance data collected each year. New programs will be subject to a detailed review after the first full year of delivery.
